Yuna Ha - violin 2

Born in 1991, violinist Yuna Ha began her musical studies at the age of 4, influenced by her mother who was an amateur violinist. 

After graduating from Yewon School and Seoul Arts High School, she entered Seoul National University's College of Music as the with a full scholarship, graduating with the highest ranking under the tutelage of Prof. Kyung Sun Lee. After completing her undergraduate studies, she was admitted to the Paris National Conservatory of Music and Dance (CNSMDP), where she obtained a Master's degree with the highest scores from the examiners for both her thesis and performance. She graduated with top honors from the advanced performer program (3ème cycle DAI) at the same university. She later completed a Master's degree program in chamber music at the Musikhochschule Luebeck and Hanover, and achieved top honors in the Konzertexamen (Advanced Performer Program) at the Musikhochschule Weimar with Svetlin Roussev, Olivier Charlier and Friedemann Eichhorn. 

She has been recognized internationally as a violinist, winning First prize at the Novosibirsk International Violin Competition, and Firs prize at the Mirecourt International Violin Competition (with two special prizes, and the highest interpretation award for the French sonata). She has been invited to perform solo concerts on various international stages such as Philharmonie de Paris, Mirecourt Chamber Music Festival, Musique Esperance de Saint-Die, Liège University and Seoul Arts Center, She has also appeared as a soloist with orchestras including Orchestre des Lauréats du Conservatoire (Philharmonie de Paris), Les Violons de France, SNU Symphony Orchestra, Korean University Students' Union Orchestra (KUCO), Hwa-um Chamber Orchestra, Suwon City Symphony Orchestra, and Janacek Chamber Orchestra.

Since 2016, as a founding member of the Esmé Quartet, Yuna Ha has performed at prestigious venues and festivals worldwide including the Suntory Hall, Schleswig-Holstein Festival in Germany, Pyeongchang Music Festival in South Korea, London Wigmore Hall recitals, concerts at the Seoul Arts Center.

In addition to her performing career, she actively participates as a faculty member in masterclasses hosted by institutions such as the Seoul Arts High School, Korea National Symphony Orchestra , Seoul Arts Center, University of Connecticut, Sydney Conservatorium of music, Hong Kong Arts Festival, San Francisco Conservatory, Lotte Concert Hall, Pyeongchang Music Festival, dedicating efforts to mentorship and nurturing young talent.
